War Child receives £1,000 donation

International charity War Child has been awarded £1,000 as part of the Persimmon Homes Community Champions scheme. Persimmon Homes Severn Valley donated the cash after it was nominated by Somerset based property development company Hawkfield Homes.

James Kilmartin, Chairman at Hawkfield Homes, said, "We have been working alongside Persimmon Homes at their development at Stockmoor Village in Bridgwater and heard about the Community Champions scheme. We recommended a donation was made to the cause and we’re delighted such a worth charity will benefit from £1,000."

Hinkley Point C project gets final government approval

Finally the uncertainty surrounding the Hinkley point C project is lifted and construction is set to start. The region's biggest town Bridgwater is sure to be crucial in the supply of labour and housing to Europe's largest construction project. Nomination for the LABC Building Excellence Awards 2016

We are dusting off the tuxes and getting our acceptance speech ready! Hawkfield Homes' site at Verbena Court has been nominated to be on the shortlist for the finals of the LABC Building Excellence Awards 2016.

James Kilmartin says, "We are delighted to be nominated as a potential finalist for this prestigious competition. We had a very professional team of consultants and contractors working on this development. Everyone involved worked tirelessly to ensure that the houses were designed and built to as high a quality as possible."

Congregation and creativity at the Seashore

From 2016, all Hawkfield Homes residential development concept drawings shall be on display and homed under one roof at "Seashore", Severn Beach, Bristol.

The building is a former Methodist Church which will now serve visiting potential customers, trade service providers, agents, suppliers, consultants and people in communities during normal business hours.

The new owners said, "Many thanks for the warm welcome. Both my wife and I (and the kids of course) are really pleased with the house and looking forward to moving in."

They're all gone!

Just 5 weeks after the launch of the site, all the plots at Verbena Court are sold off plan at the asking prices.

Sales Director Mike Kilmartin says, "The fact that the houses are all sold so early after launch is a sign that buyers have total faith is our ability to build a quality product. One of the buyers is himself a RIBA architect!"

Brentry Site Almost Clear & Close To Groundworks Start

Hawkfield Homes' build at Brentry is about to start ahead of schedule. The site is almost clear with groundworks starting next week.

Site Manager Dave Thomas says, "This is a fantastic site with so much going for it. It should be a straightforward build which is great; I wish they were all like this!"

An experienced Construction Site Manager is required on long term contract by Hawkfield Homes and Land Promotions Ltd. property developers to deliver 2 residential build projects in Brentry and Olveston.

You need to have experience of delivering new build residential projects of between 2 and 10 units, and have a sound understanding of all aspects of the construction process. Evidence of a proven track record and extensive contacts within all elements of the construction industry are essential.

Local planning consultants celebrate finders fee from LPG

Just days after LPG's successful purchase of the former hospital at Berkeley, the group pays planning consultancy JN Planning Consultants a finders fee for introducing the site to the team.
